About Our 96-Hour Pre-License Course
We have bi-weekly and monthly payment plan options. Â You can select this prior to checkout. Upon your first payment, you are fully enrolled in the course and have 24/7 access. Your card will be charged automatically bi-weekly or monthly depending on the plan you choose until you complete all payments. No certificates of completion will be awarded until all payments are made. Discount codes are not valid for payment plans. Refunds are not permitted after the course has been started.
After you finish the course, Kentucky state law requires you take and pass an online proctored exam. The course will explain this process once all learning modules are complete.
Kentucky Real Estate College (KREC) does permit refunds as long as the student complies with this Refund Policy. KREC shall issue a refund pursuant to a request for a refund by the student if (i) the student requests the refund within 14 calendar days of the enrollment date; AND (ii) Module 2 of the course has not been started. In the event that the student has started Module 2 of the course or requested a refund more than 14 calendar days after enrollment, KREC shall not be obligated to issue a refund.
KREC aims to serve all of our students’ needs. Upon enrollment, each course is valid for Six (6) Months from the enrollment date. Prior to expiration, students have the option to purchase a Three (3) Month Extension for $99 or a Six (6) Month Extension for $149.

To become a licensed real estate sales associate in Kentucky, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.

- Complete 96 hours of pre-licensing education from a Kentucky Real Estate Commission (KREC) approved school, such as Kentucky Real Estate College.
- Successfully pass the final course exam with a score of 75% or better.

The real estate course final exam is a proctored test you take at the end of our 96-hour course. You must pass this exam to receive your certificate of completion.
The state licensing exam is a separate exam administered by PSI, the official testing provider for the state of Kentucky. This is the final step to earning your license after you have completed your education and background check. You must pass both the national and state portions of this exam to be eligible for licensure.
With Kentucky Real Estate College, you are automatically given access to the course for six months. This flexible timeline gives you the freedom to study around your own schedule. If you need more time, we do offer course extensions. Please note, the Kentucky Real Estate Commission does require the course to be completed within one year from the date of enrollment.
The total cost to get your license includes several components:

- PSI licensing exam fee (100): The fee for taking the state and national exam.

Kentucky law allows for three total attempts to pass the course final exam. If you do not pass on the first try, you will have two more opportunities. We provide resources and support to help you prepare for your retake. If you are unable to pass after the third attempt, you must re-enroll and retake the course.
